BoC urges customers to apply for Cobalt losses

The Bank of Cyprus on Friday it announced it would credit the money of its customers who submitted an application following the closure of Cobalt in December.

So far, the bank has settled more than 12,000 card transactions and credited the money to clients’ accounts.

The announcement said the bank is still receiving refund requests by clients who paid for travelling with the airline before it suspended its operations but urged those who have not done so yet to do it soon.

“It is vital to make the request soon to enable the bank to recover money within time limits set by Visa/MasterCard/Amex,” the bank stressed.

Once the money has been recovered and credited to their accounts, the beneficiaries will receive a text message confirming the transaction.
