Christmas takes a jazzy turn

Technopolis 20 continues to build their cultural agenda this winter season with yet another festive concert, this time inviting Kyriaki Steliou on voice, Loukas Louka on piano and Alexis Anastasiades on double bass.

The musicians performing as a trio for the night will play Christmas jazz songs and melodies to get the audience into the festive spirit. They will play songs such as Christmas Song, White Christmas, Let it Snow, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and other favourites.

On the jazz scene for a long time, Louka, a piano and music teacher, has participated in various jazz ensembles and even took part in the Jazz Futures workshops that took place in Nicosia from 2008 until 2011, under the instruction of great jazz musicians from New York.

Joining him on stage is Anastasiadis, a Cypriot guitarist and contrabassist who has been playing in Nicosia’s music venues since 1993, not limiting his style to only jazz, but also playing ethnic and rock music. The only femme of the group is Steliou who has performed solo and in ensembles in Cyprus and abroad and has taken her musical interest one step further by researching the development and empowerment of children’s self-confidence through improvisation, observability but also the imagination.

Allow the three musicians to put you in the Christmas mood.
