Man claims was stabbed by burglar

Α 46-year-old man from Limassol reported on Friday that he was attacked with a knife by a burglar who had walked into his home looking for money.

The man told police that the burglar entered the house through a balcony door that was open while he was in the house. He said that the man asked for money.

The 46-year-old said that he tried to immobilise the intruder but that would-be burglar grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the abdomen. He then ran outside without taking anything.

The owner of the house was taken to the Limassol hospital. His injuries were not serious.
