Fire burns wild vegetation in Paphos

A fire in Akoursos, in Paphos, on Monday, burned four hectares of wild shrub, grass, and trees, the fire service said.

The blaze broke out at around 4pm and was put under control around three and half hours later with the help of two water-dropping helicopters.

Firefighters will remain in the area overnight as a precaution. The cause of the blaze is being investigated by the authorities.
