Yellow heat warning for Tuesday

The meteorological service issued a yellow warning for Tuesday for extremely high temperature as it is expected to rise to 40 degrees Celsius inland.

The warning concerns the period between noon and 5pm, it said.

In the mountainous areas the temperature is expected to reach 31C. In the western and northern coastal areas, the temperature is expected to be around 32C, and 35C in the southern and eastern coast.
