Met issues weather warning

The met office issued a yellow warning for Saturday’s temperature expected to reach a peak temperature of 41C.

The warning is valid from 12pm to 5pm. Yellow is the mildest form of an alert concerning people at risk due to their location or activity.

On Friday, the labour ministry issued a statement advising employees –particularly those working outdoors – to take measures to protect themselves from the heat, including the possibility of periods of rest or putting a halt to their work for the day.

The weather is expected to be sunny on Saturday with sparse dust while on Sunday, temperatures are expected to abate with a slight decrease but will continue to be sunny.
