…and so the festivals begin

The heat is cranking up and we all know what that means for our night life; open-air concerts and festivals under the summer moon.

The capital will start off the tradition with the first Red Summer Festival from Friday, for three nights of Greek music at Orfeas Stadium.

The festival will kick off with a performance by Greek singers Yiannis Kotsiras and Mariza Rizou on Friday, the band Imam Baildi and the singer Eleonora Zouganeli on Saturday and the singers Mirela Pachou and Stelios Rokkos on Sunday. Each night offers something very different – the first is more alternative music, the second will have an air of more blended musical flavours and the third will have the sound of the accordion and a more rock feel. Organisers hope that you will be REDy to enjoy your favourite live acts in this very first festival, that hopes to become a tradition in Nicosia.

Music will begin at 8pm every night and end at midnight. Each act will have two hours on stage and the cost for each night is €10 presale or €14 at the door.

There is also a special package of €25 for all three nights. Tickets can be bought online at www.tickethour.com.cy or from all ACS Courier stores.
