The fundraising aims at strengthening the social and humanitarian programmes of the Cyprus Red Cross Society.

Health Minister Constantinos Ioannou announced the launch of the fundraising while stressing the importance of the overall work of the Cyprus Red Cross Society.

Starting her speech with the campaign’s tagline ‘Love means giving’, President of the Cyprus Red Cross Society Fotini Papadopoulou thanked the people of Cyprus for their spontaneously positive response, the volunteers for their valuable help, and OPAP Cyprus for “once again emerging as a strong ally and supporter of the Cyprus Red Cross Society’s programmes.”

“Humanism and volunteerism – the main pillars of the Cyprus Red Cross Society – are also an integral part of OPAP’s timeless social action policy,” Managing Director of OPAP Cyprus Demetris Aletraris said while elaborating on the decision of OPAP Cyprus to support Red Cross again.

After reminding that OPAP Cyprus has been a keen and honest supporter of the Red Cross society since 1969, Aletraris concluded that “it is with great pleasure that we will provide our help, in order for the fundraising to bring the best possible results for the benefit of Cyprus Red Cross Society and its humanitarian programmes.”
