Damaged cables fixed, internet service back to normal levels, authorities say

The damage to the two underwater cables which had slowed internet connections last week has been repaired, the Office of the Commissioner for Electronic Communications and Postal Services said in a statement on Wednesday.

The service said it had been in constant contact with the providers since the issue arose on Friday in order to identify the problem and coordinate actions to reduce the impact. Services are now back at normal levels, an announcement said.
