Cookies and cakes, oh my

There are few things that we can all agree on, but one of them has to be the pleasure of a wonderful looking dessert.

And expect to see lots of it at the upcoming dessert festival that will have us all high on sugar on Sunday at the European University in Nicosia from 10am until 6pm.

There will be donuts, muffins and cakes galore, all prepared by some of the exhibitors at the festival, who will be awaking our senses with their creations. These will include La Patisserie Panayiotis, Crepaland, Let Them Eat Cake, Lean Sweets, Magic Balls and many more.

There will also be free tea and coffee to wash it all down with.

The festival is all about sweets and cakes, but eating is not the only activity on the list.

There will be narrations of stories about chocolate, a magic show, theatrical games for children, face painting and a presentation by chef Yiannis Toumpas on artistic creations with sugar paste.

During the whole eight hours there will be a play area where kids can paint and create images that are linked with desserts.
