Fatal hit and run

Police on Sunday said they are trying to locate the driver of a hit and run accident that happened on Saturday afternoon in Pano Kyvides, in Limassol which led to the death of 69-year-old Elisavet Michail.

The victim was found at around 5.45pm on Saturday lying unconscious and injured on the tarmac near the church of Ayios Panteleimonas.

She was transferred to the Limassol general hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Following information, police said the car involved in the accident was a low suspension twin cabin truck, colour grey, silver or white.

Police urge anyone who may possess any information concerning the accident, to call the Limassol traffic police at 25-805252, or the nearest police station, or the citizen hotline at 1460.
