Wizz Air adds new London route

Wizz Air, the largest low-cost, low-fare airline in central and Eastern Europe on Tuesday announced a new route connecting Larnaca to London-Luton, a daily service that will start on May 30, 2018.

Passengers can already book their tickets by visiting the airline’s website at www.wizzair.com from €29.99 one way, including taxes.

Together with the new routes launched in 2017, to Varna and Cluj, Wizz Air now offers 13 connections to nine countries across Europe from Cyprus. Other destinations which can be reached by direct flights from Larnaca are Vilnius, Sofia, Kutaisi, Budapest, Kiev, Belgrade and Donetsk.

According to a statement, more than 330,000 passengers have used the airline’s services in the past 10 months, a 34 per cent increase over last year. The new route, along with the new seat capacity allocated, the airline announced, will make Wizz Air the second largest airline at Larnaca airport from June 2018.

“We expect to further stimulate tourism and hospitality industries and strengthen business relations between the countries,” the carrier commented, adding that the connections are offered at the lowest fares possible.
