Get your groove on at Mason bar

The Greek DJ set to turn Saturday night electric is no other than DJ Echonomist, who will be returning to Mason Bar in Limassol for the second time this year.

DJ Echonomist (Petros Manganaris on his ID) may look like he is new to the DJing game as he has so much energy and drive, but he has been on the scene since the late 90s under numerous aliases.

And although he has clicked-off 20-odd years in the mixing arena, he manages to stay creative while also keeping productive.

Echonomist, who is also a producer, was given a basic synthesiser by his parents at a young age, and also followed music lessons so he could entertain the family. Something from those Sunday performances must have stuck as the DJ has gone from trying to make strange noises on his synthesiser to performing electronic dance music to audiences all over the world.

His diverse musical styles place him among the most prolific producers whether electronic, dance or abstract. His elaborate performances cover the whole dance spectrum and have been met with international acclaim. It is all about devotion to the sound and a restless quest for the groove that will make you move.
