Tobacco haul in Kofinou

Over 2,000 undeclared cigarettes were found on Wednesday at the Kofinou reception center that were purchased from the north, the customs office said in an announcement.

As part of an operation, five premises were searched, three of which were found to contain undeclared duty free tobacco products. Nine hundred euros in fines were imposed on three separate tenants.

All items confiscated were taken to the customs office, the announcement said.
