Almost two weeks of road works to start in old Nicosia

Due to road works a part of the old Nicosia town will be closed to traffic from August 28 until September 8 from 7am until 2pm.

Sophocleous, Lycourgos, Ledra and Megalos Alexandros streets will be closed off during this period to allow for improvements in the pedestrian areas of Ledra, Onasagorou and side streets.

Traffic will be directed through Solonos, Platonos, Aeschylus, Thrakis and Thermopylon streets. The municipality asks drivers to be careful and follow the traffic signs.

Emergency services such as ambulances and the fire services have been briefed accordingly.

The municipality regrets any inconvenience but deems the project necessary.
