Magic can always happen

A charity dinner taking place in Limassol on July 28 will provide traditional Rembetika music, a three-course meal, open bar and the chance to give a helping hand to the Magic Always Happens organisation.

Magic Always Happens is a non-profit organisation that helps raise awareness for autism. The magic in the organisation’s name refers to the magic that happens when people unite for a specific cause.

The cause is one that is getting more and more attention and gaining more mainstream weight. For example, the Sesame Street programme for children has recently introduced the character of Julia, a girl on the autism spectrum.

Just as the children’s programme is trying to educate children so that they have a better understanding when playing with kids on the spectrum, Magic Always Happens is doing all it can to show that people and families affected by autism deserve a little magic too.

This is why the proceeds collected for the charity dinner will go a long way. All proceeds will be used to support the organisation’s second annual International Conference on Autism Treatment and Research, which will take place in November.

It promises to be a summer event that will provide great food, lots of drink and the chance to get up and dance to some traditional Rembetika songs.
