A festival that makes lot of noise

Yes there are many, many festivals shaking about this summer season but very few will last for a single day but still bring over 25 acts to the stage.

The festival with a positive attitude and a love for the island is the Farma Projekt that will bring together acts from Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Germany and the UK on Saturday in Nicosia. For its fifth edition, the festival will use music as a guide to provide us with the ultimate summer mood with acts like Monika from Greece, Luigi Tozzi from Italy, Mop Mop from Germany, JFB from the UK and local DJ Panis Plays.

Monika is a singer-songwriter whose two albums have gone platinum and who has been hailed as Greece’s most promising young artist. She has given many sold out concerts and is now ready to wow the Nicosia crowd.

Mop Mop were able to reach an international audience with their song featured on Woody Allen’s To Rome With Love soundtrack. The band’s philosophy is rooted in jazz but they do explore other genres with a bit of funk and afro beats as part of their gigs.

On the DJ front, there will be Tozzi, a DJ who will put a deep techno spin on the festival. Also spinning his acting abilities together with his music will be local DJ Panis Plays while JFB will be coming at us from the UK with his techno vibe.
