Annual concert of musicians in the making

The Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra’s Music School will present its fifth annual concert on Monday at 7.30pm at the Strovolos Municipal Theatre in Nicosia.

Within the framework of the Social Corporate Responsibility of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation, this year’s concert of the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra’s Music School’s students is dedicated to premature infants, seeking to contribute towards public awareness.

The big annual concert marks the completion of yet another successful academic year. The talented scholars will present the outcome of their work, while the Orchestra’s ensembles will also participate with a highly exciting programme.

The Music School focuses on children and young people with special musical abilities and talent, offering them scholarships for specialised and high-level training by top rank tutors on every instrument of a symphony orchestra.

The project is directed by Yiorgos Kountouris, the Artistic Director and Conductor of the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra.
