Introducing Cretan IAMA to Cyprus

Cretan Iama by Olvos Science, an innovative Greek product with international prospects, which contributes to combating respiratory viruses, is now available in Cyprus pharmacies from NP Gerolymatos CY HealthCare.

Cretan IAMA Olvos Science is the result of years of research by distinguished researchers at the University of Crete, who turned indigenous knowledge into practical use, in collaboration with Olvos Science, a subsidiary of Greek pharmaceutical company Galenica.

Following years of testing, the research resulted in a combination of essential oils from three aromatic herbs (Coridothymus Capitatus, Salvia Fruticosa, and Origanum Dictamnus), in specific measures, acting in synergy.

The idea originated years ago, when epidemiological observation in areas of Crete showed that people who consumed drinks containing these particular herbs very rarely caught colds or the flu, and when they did they presented with milder symptoms.

The research by the University of Crete researchers was published in the internationally-acclaimed biomedical journal The Lancet.

The essential oils of the three aromatic herbs, in the form of a soft-shelled capsule, are diluted in Cretan extra virgin olive oil.

Cretan IAMA Olvos Science has been tested on patients with respiratory viruses (common cold, the flu), showing improvement.
