And the art goes on

For art lovers out there, there are still a number of artists going solo in exhibitions throughout the island.

Still on at the Thalassa, Municipal Museum of the Sea in Ayia Napa is the solo painting exhibition entitled Instinctively by Despina Karyou.

Karyou, from Paralimni, studied Graphic Arts and Advertising at European University and went on to study at the Athens School of Fine Arts. After graduating she started working on her own art projects while also being an art professor.

She has participated in a number of group exhibitions in Greece. Since returning to Cyprus, the artist has worked with, and contributed to, many art activities all over the island.

Gallery Morfi in Limassol continues to host a collection of paintings by Andreas Nicolaou under the name The Girl with the Fan.
The theme behind this collection is that of romanticism and the escape from the routine of everyday things.

Nicolaou has showcased his work in 40 solo exhibitions in museums and galleries in Greece, Cyprus and elsewhere. His work can be viewed in public collections in such places as The National Gallery in Athens and in the State Collection of Contemporary Art in Nicosia.
