Adios, Hillary. As an added bonus, neo-liberals, neo-cons, social justice warriors, feminazis, language police holier-than-thou types and Hillary zombies have gone into meltdown mode. Absolutely fabulous, as The Donald might say.
Best of all, the defeat has shown the true colours of the virtue-signalling, phoney hypocrites of the American ‘Left’. Amid the post-election recriminations, crazed Democrats are now accusing white women of ‘treachery’ for not coming out more forcefully for Hillary, letting Trump steal the White House. As if white women, or Latinos or what have you, should forever be identified with the Democratic Party. If that’s not stereotyping or racist, I don’t what is.
Yet it has always been thus with fascistic, intolerant movements – at some point they will invariably turn on their own. See, the Left actually wants people to be miserable, it feeds off social injustices, so that the disenfranchised, real and imaginary, will turn to them and the nanny state for salvation.
Hillary ran the most divisive, nasty election campaign in living memory. Lacking any message or vision whatsoever – white noise whenever she opened her mouth – she and her minions opted to go ballistic on wedge issues, obsessing with identity politics. By endlessly harping on about social and racial divisions, they hyped up the hysteria, playing on people’s emotions. They then inverted reality, claiming that The Other – Trump – was a bigot and a racist. Their hypocrisy is truly mind-boggling.
Except, it backfired spectacularly. See, when you refer to half of your fellow countrymen as ‘the Deplorables’, there has to be payback. In the end, it was these very attributes – her arrogance and sense of entitlement – that were her undoing. So smug was she that she ignored the Rust Belt voters and allowed The Donald – whose strategising was brilliant – to turn things on their head. Poetic justice.
“Just imagine Trump with his finger on the nuclear button…he’ll start World War III with Russia,” shrieked the delusional Liberals. It’s funny, because almost in the same breath they claimed Trump was in league with Putin and/or a Russian agent. Well, which is it? You can’t have it both ways.
It’s also amusing because they somehow forgot about Hydrogen Hillary’s track record as the supreme warmonger and Wall Street shill. She has supported or voted for every single war, backed the sanctions on Iraq – which her husband, bless him, initiated in the 1990s, killing hundreds of thousands of people – and was in favour of the bank bailouts. Then again, she did – allegedly – tell Wall Street to ‘cut it out’ in 2007. Except for those $250,000 speaking fees from Goldman Sachs.
And let’s not even get into the Clinton Foundation, pay-for-play, the private email server to conduct state business, or the scandals plaguing Clinton stretching back two decades. Heck, the woman stole the White House china.
“We came, we saw, he died,” she once said on camera, talking, then laughing in the same breath about Muammar Gaddafi’s bloody demise, about another human being horrifically killed. Back in the day, she had laughed about getting the rapist of a 12-year-old girl off the hook on a technicality. And some of you are supposedly worried about Trump? Are you kidding me?
These are all documented facts, by the way. Hillary has a chequered track record. Trump has none in public office. Clinton’s actions, with real consequences, versus Trump’s words. Apples and oranges.
This isn’t a pro-Trump piece. This disquisition, if you will, is anti-Hillary and pro-sanity. When The Donald starts messing up, trust me I’ll be among the first to call him out.
To demonstrate that I’m not exactly buoyant, here’s what Trump needs to do for me to grade him as a good president: reinstate the Glass–Steagall Act, reform and/or rewrite the Affordable Care Act, shut down Gitmo, end the NSA’s mass surveillance programme, strike the more egregious clauses from the National Defence Authorisation Act, such as indefinite detention, scrap the Patriot Act, revert to a softer, if non-interventionist foreign policy, and work with Russia in Syria, which simply means ending US support to ISIS.
You heard right. If by now you haven’t figured out who ISIS really are, or who’s backing them, sorry but there’s no hope for you.
Oh, and it would be sweet to have Ron Paul running the Treasury Department.
But first and foremost, nationalise or otherwise abolish the Federal Reserve. I know, it’ll never happen.
The Federal Reserve is neither federal nor governmental. Don’t let the name fool you. Created in 1913 – thanks a bunch Woodrow Wilson – it’s a money cartel ran and owned by private bankers, by their own admission. But you won’t hear that on CNN or the BBC. So you have private money men, with no accountability – the Fed can’t be audited by the US government, look it up – deciding how much cash is circulating in the economy and determining your purchasing power and ultimately your standard of living.
Back to Trump, a major litmus test for whether he’s just another ‘globalist’ will be his stance on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and its companion agreement TTIP (The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership ). News from America suggests the TPP is already dead in the water. Good riddance. If The Donald buries it, and does the same for the TTIP, you’ll know he’s anti-globalisation and the genuine article.
Also, he needs to pull the United States out of international climate change treaties, and fast. Man-made climate change is a canard, wool pulled over your eyes so that you pay a carbon tax and say ‘thank you’. It’s the sun, stupid. But Johan will come back to that in a future edition, soon.
It’s ironic that The Donald – love him or hate him, personally I’m indifferent – doesn’t have to do all that much to be remembered as a half-decent president. That’s because his predecessors have set the bar so low, leaving the economy in the dumps. And whereas I can’t say I’m optimistic, boy does it feel good to just see Hillary and her cabal gone.
