Four injured when car hits electricity pole

Four people were injured and hospitalised on Thursday when the car they were travelling in smashed into an electricity pole.

According to the police, the incident happened around 7pm on a road near the village of Kivides, Limassol.

Police said the car veered off its course, crashing into the electricity pole. The impact was considerable, cutting the pole in half.

Two adults and two children were on board. The Fire Department was dispatched to extract them from the car.

All four were then rushed to Limassol general hospital. The severity of their condition was not immediately clear.
