A very musical weekend

With the big weekend coming up, a few Greek artists will be taking advantage of our being out and about.

In Limassol singer Peggy Zina will be at the Lofou Elementary School as part of the Lofou festival. Known for getting crowds on their feet, Zina made her recording debut in 1995 with her self-titled album. Now she has 20 albums to her name and is considered one of the best female artists in Greece.

Bringing a more traditional feel to the weekend will be Cretan lyre player Giannis Kritikos, who will perform at the Caramela Club in Paphos. The musician uses the traditional instrument to perform serenades with modern lyrics in an attempt to reach a younger audience.

Moving onto Famagusta, singer Panos Kiamos will perform at the Makronissos Beach Club. The singer started his career in 2006 and has managed to release a number of hits, win a number of awards and develop an energetic stage presence.

So, no matter where you choose to spend your long weekend, there is plenty of entertainment to choose from.
