Summer Sundays sound waves

Limassol’s Guaba Beach Bar rules the air waves every summer Sunday offering its weekly great party vibe by the sea.

This Sunday coming, the bar will welcome English electronic dance music producer and DJ Gareth Emery, who is back on the island after giving Nicosia a most electrifying time as a Christmas present in 2014.

Certainly not new to the island or the music scene, Emery has been putting his DJ spin on things since 2009 and before that he played guitar in a punk band.

After putting his guitar aside, he was quickly recognised for his unique fusion of trance, house and progressive music. Today he is considered one of the most influential and innovative DJs around – and if you want to know why, just listen to his track Mistral, which was debuted live on radio during the Nature One festival in 2002 by Paul van Dyk.

With five compilation mix CDs under his belt, this musical heavy weight will be getting the party started at Guaba at 7pm for a two-hour set
