Superstar on the decks

For all of you planning to go and see Armin Van Buuren tonight, don’t go to the old Larnaca airport, instead head for Ayia Napa where the rock star DJ will be playing at the community football stadium.

Now, with that out the way, our pick for this week takes us to Limassol where another DJ legend will be on the decks.

The German DJ, record producer and musician Paul van Dyk will team up with Guaba Beach Bar this Sunday to share their love of music and a good party vibe.
Van Dyk is on tour again, and he couldn’t continue on his musical journey without a quick stop to say hi to all his fans on the island.

His fan base is wide and goes very far. His electric sounds made him the first artist to receive a Grammy Award nomination in the newly added category of Best Dance/ Electronic album for his 2003 release Reflections. Even more impressively, he was named the world’s number one DJ in both 2005 and 2006.

After coming to us last year to introduce his new album The Politics of Dancing 3 – the final instalment in a trilogy – Van Dyk is back to get us dancing once again. Watch this superstar DJ and note how professionally he’s able to take the energy to a higher level – even after an accident he had in February, when he fell off the stage during a performance in Holland!

The accident led to several gigs being cancelled – but now, having recovered from his injuries, the DJ is back to taking his very successful show on the road.
