House Speaker holds meetings with Ambassadors of Poland, Germany and Spain

The Cyprus problem, bilateral relations, Brexit and the developments in Turkey were on the agenda of consecutive meetings the House Speaker Dimitris Syllouris held on Thursday with the Ambassadors of Poland, Germany and Spain.

According to press releases issued by the House, the Ambassador of Poland Barbara Tuge-Erecinska reaffirmed her country`s firm support to the ongoing UN-backed negotiations for Cyprus solution , on the basis of the UN Security Council resolutions. They also discussed the bilateral ties and both expressed the will for further enhancing them. On the focus of the meeting were also the developments in Turkey, following the military coup attempt.

During the meeting with the German Ambassador Nikolai von Schoepff, the two men discussed the potential for further developing the bilateral relations in the fields of economy, investments and education.

They also discussed the Cyprus problem, situation in Turkey, Brexit and other issues of mutual interest.

House Speaker also received the Ambassador of Spain Angel Lossada.

Cyprus-Spain relations were discussed and they both expressed the will to enhance the parliamentary bilateral relations . Brexit and other issues were also on the agenda of the meeting.
