Missing diver found unharmed (Updated)

A missing diver who sparked a search and rescue operation off the Akamas on Sunday was later found unharmed along another area of the same coastline.

Rescue services began searching around 11.30am after the diver failed to surface following a dive with a friend.

The search was conducted off the Akamas coasts near Ayios Georgios where the pair had taken their boat out.

The reports said one of the divers returned to the boat but the second one failed to surface.

After waiting a little while, he called the authorities. Port and marine police went to the scene, along with a search chopper.

The diver was found some time later near Lara beach, reports said.
