Get your cocktail shakers out

Can you make a mean cocktail? Do you fancy yourself as a Tom Cruise character that can throw bottles in the air and catch them again like a pro? If yes, then get practicing your mixing skills until Thursday and Friday when the Guaba Beach Bar in Limassol will be hosting, for the first time, the official Guaba Nectar Cocktail competition.

The cocktail artist with the most creative and unique cocktail will be crowned the first official Guaba Nectar Ambassador. Just make sure you use one or more spirits in your drink, you must also include Guaba Nectar, your recipe should be original, all ingredients should be available all year-round, and the drink should be able to be made from scratch. Also no homemade ingredients are allowed, but organic products can be a bonus in your creation and – because presentation is everything – you should put on a great cocktail-making show.

When thinking about how you can fit this all together, remember that cocktails will be judged on originality, use of product, taste and presentation.

If your cocktail is picked, it will be a great boost for your career, as competitors must be working bartenders. Now what do you get if your cocktail stands out? The bartender who gets first prize will represent Cyprus at the International Bar and Beverage Trade Show at Station Berlin on October 11 and 12 this year, as well as being named the first official Guaba Nectar Ambassador and receiving a custom-made trophy.

If you win, your cocktail will also feature on the Guaba Beach Bar cocktail menu, while your winning recipe, a photograph and an article about you will be uploaded onto the official Guaba Beach Bar website. And with all this attention, you will never let anyone go thirsty again.
