Nuland to visit Cyprus

US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland will visit Cyprus on July 12 to discuss bilateral issues and the island’s division.

Nuland travels to Nicosia, “to meet with Republic of Cyprus officials to discuss bilateral and regional issues”, a State Department media note issued from the office of the Spokesperson said.

“She will also meet with Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot leaders and UN Special Advisor (Espen Barth) Eide to convey continued US support for a fair and lasting settlement of the Cyprus problem through the process facilitated by the UN Secretary General’s Good Offices Mission.”
