Traffic accident injury

A 19-year-old male was seriously injured on Saturday after a car he was travelling in crashed into the iron railings of a pedestrian crossing near the Ayia Fyla roundabout in Limassol.

The incident happened at 5am. The 21-year-old driver of the car was slightly injured.

They were both taken to hospital where doctors diagnosed that the 19-year-old had suffered a fractured skull and brain hemorrhage.

Due to the severity of his condition, he was transferred to Nicosia general hospital.
