House delegation to participate in inter-parliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy

The 22nd General Assembly of the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy (IAO) convenes in Thessaloniki, Greece, from Monday to Friday to discuss matters such as the refugee crisis, poverty and climate change.

A delegation of the House of Representatives, comprised by Angelos Votsis, Costas Constantinou, Evanthia Savva and Elias Myrianthous, will take part in the assembly, according to an official press release.

The Assembly’s main subject to be discussed is entitled Fundamental global change – The Orthodox view.

In this context, it adds, current affairs such as the migration and refugee crisis, poverty and climate change will be discussed.

During the General Assembly the prizes of the 2nd photography competition entitled Destruction of Monuments of Eastern Christianity will be awarded.
