Baghdatis frustrated again by rain

Cyprus star Marcos Baghdatis’ opening match at Wimbledon has still not been completed due to rain causing havoc with the schedule on the outside courts.

His clash against big-serving American John Isner was originally scheduled for Tuesday evening, but no play was possible due to the adverse weather conditions.
The duo played only two games early on Wednesday afternoon before the heavens opened again.

After a long delay, the American 18th seed won the first set on a tiebreak, but the Cypriot hit back early in the second set, breaking Isner’s fearsome serve, as he took a 3-1 lead before play was cancelled for the day.

Weather permitting, the players will be back on court on Thursday.
