Female tourist reports being robbed at knifepoint

A female tourist reported to police on Tuesday that she was robbed at knifepoint while sitting at her Paphos hotel’s swimming pool.

The 34-year-old said she was sitting at the pool at around 2am when a man, whose face was covered, threatened her with a knife.

The woman said the robber snatched her purse, worth €300, and fled the scene.

According to the woman, her mobile phone, some cash, and other personal items were inside the bag.
