Community leader found with undeclared antiquities

Paphos police on Monday arrested the community leader of Galataria and his son in connection with illegal possession of antiquities.
The artefacts, including clay pottery and amphorae, were found at the home of the son, 48, in Peyia, and two houses in Galataria belonging to the two men.
Following the findings, police arrested the 72-year-old man and his son.
The suspects alleged that the items had been given to them by their grandparents and they had neglected to declare them, state broadcaster CyBC reported.
