Four-day remand for drugs suspect

A 29-year-old man from Dromolaxia was remanded for four days on Saturday by the Larnaca District court, in connection with the illegal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

According to the police, drug squad members searched the 29-year-old’s home in Dromolaxia on Friday night.

Carefully stashed inside the home’s false ceiling, police found a plastic box, which contained two bags with 16 grammes of cocaine, €2,000 in cash, and a precision scale.

All items were seized as evidence, and the 29-year-old was arrested and detained.

On Saturday, the man was taken to the Larnaca District court, which ordered his remand for four days.
