Lucky numbers return to licence plates

NUMBERS 13, 666 and 69 are now available as vehicle licence plates, Transport Minister Marios Demetriades said on Friday.

Last month, the ministry announced owners of unregistered vehicles could bid for specific licence plates. Although the letters would be set, numbers, if available could be selected.

Numbers 13, 666 and 69 were not available because apparently, every time they were given, owners would return them.

Demetriades was responding to a question on Twitter as to why they were not available.

He said he had long been discussing it but it was now an option.
