1,500 inspections during Easter period

Agriculture Minister Nicos Kouyialis visited supermarkets in the Famagusta District on Friday where he was told by consumers that although some fresh produce were cheaper than last year, lamb (the main item on the Easter banquet) was more expensive.

He added that so far this week, a total of 1,500 food preparation and retail outlets have been inspected and this will continue after the holidays as well.
