Another great jazzy event at the Shoe Factory

On Wednesday the Pharos Arts Foundation, in collaboration with the Institut Français de Chypre, will present a concert by the jazz trio Benjamin Faugloire at the Shoe Factory in Nicosia.

The Benjamin Faugloire Project is a jazz trio comprising Benjamin Faugloire (piano and composition), Denis Frangulian (double-bass) and Jerome Mouriez (drums). The three musicians from Marseille met during their music studies at the Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood.

The project was born in 2006 in Paris, and started to take shape during the Trio’s first residency at LE LAP (Lieux Artistiques de proximites) later in the year. Their first album Premiere Nouvelle was released two years later and was enthusiastically received by the audiences and music critics alike. Another album, The Diving, was released in 2012, and the Trio has just released its third album: Birth.

The three impressive jazzmen had immediately received numerous accolades from the French and international press, and most importantly, an immediate and unanimous warm welcome from the public, which led to them receiving invitations from some of the most prestigious venues and festivals, including: Festival des 5 Continents à Marseille, JVC Jazz Festival in Paris, Montpellier, Jazz Festival of Domergue in Cannes, Theatre de l’Avant-Scene in Trelaze and Mandala in Toulouse, among others.
