Four rescued from sinking boat off Limassol

Four Lebanese nationals, three men and a woman, were rescued by Cypriot marine police on Sunday after the yacht they were in started taking in water.

According to the Cyprus News Agency, the boat had left Limassol for Lebanon, when at around 3.45pm, two miles out off the marina at St Raphael, the vessel sent out distress signal.

Two boats from the port and marine police responded immediately and rescued the four before the boat sank, CNA said.
