Exports up in 2015

EXPORTS continued to improve in 2015, marking an 11 per cent increase during the first ten months of the year, compared to the same period in 2014, President Nicos Anastasiades said on Friday while handing out awards to seven Cypriot companies.

“According to the data available, domestic exports of goods increased from €617m during the first ten months of 2014, to €686m in the corresponding period of 2015,” he said, adding, “during the same period, total exports of services valued €5.9bn in 2015, marking an increase of 4.5 per cent from 2014.”

The seven companies which were awarded by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for having an exceptional export performance in 2014 include Firepro Systems, Remedica, Petrou Bros Dairy Products, Roha Premium Potato, Charalambides Christis, Michael Kyprianou & Co and Medochemie.
