Fight for order

The pop up festival in the City Plaza in Nicosia is still very much popping with shops, a massive floor piano and live performances.

Tomorrow the plaza will host a dance performance under the name Order and Disorder. The dance focuses on the chaotic relationship between the sexes with actress Mara Constantinou and performing artist Mathieu Devavry.

Watch as the two battle things out, see love turning into hate, and hate returning into its original form of love.

The performance balances opposites, between absence and presence, between love and lust, to show that the contrast between us is what we fight against. So maybe at the end of it all the opposite sex is not to blame, maybe we should blame our ego for the disorder we fight to bring to order. And if our ego is to blame, then maybe it is its fault for blocking off real love.

As well as performing, Constantinou also came up with the concept behind the performance.
