Nine beggars and hawkers booked in Nicosia

As part of an ongoing campaign police on Sunday booked nine beggars and hawkers in several areas of Nicosia, they said.

In addition, the were also booked for the deliberate obstruction of free passage on public roads.

Police confiscated 20 boxes of perfume, four watches and four items of jewellery, they believed to be counterfeits of well-known brands.
