Leaders to hold last meeting of the year Sunday

President Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci will meet for the last time in 2015 on Sunday, at the Nicosia airport in the buffer zone.

At 9:30 am, the two leaders will conduct a joint visit to the Committee for Missing Persons’ (CMP) anthropology lab, and will hold a tete-a-tete session at 10am.

Meanwhile, Turkish Foreign minister Mevlut Cavusoglu met United Nations’ Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, discussing, among other issues, the Cyprus problem.

According to unnamed diplomatic sources cited by the Anadolu news agency, the two men discussed the Paris climate conference, the G20 summit in Antalya, and the situation in Syria.

Anadolu reported that the two men also discussed the situation in the Middle East region and exchanged views on progress of the Cyprus problem.
