Pensioner injured in traffic accident

A 75-year-old man was seriously injured in a road accident in Nicosia on Tuesday night.

According to a police report, the man was riding his motorcycle at around 7:30 pm on Ayios Andreas street in Pallouriotissa when, under unspecified circumstances, he was hit by a car driven by a 30-year-old woman.

The 75-year-old was rushed to the Nicosia General, where he was found to have sustained a thoracic fracture, and was admitted in serious condition.

Police have requested anyone with information on the circumstances of the accident to contact Nicosia Traffic police or the nearest police station.
