Teacher arrested for drunk driving

A 25-year-old teacher was arrested early on Friday morning for drunk driving in Limassol at a busy area at the junction of Spyrou Kyprianou at Nikou Pattihi avenues.

According to police, shortly after 3am the man was signalled to stop, and a breathalyser test showed he had 87mg of alcohol instead of the permitted 22mg.

Both he and the car were taken to the local police station, however, according to police the man was too drunk to realise what was going on.

His wife was called to take the car while he remained in custody.
