The International Monetary Fund said that it expects Cyprus’s economy to grow 0.5 per cent this year and 1.4 per cent in 2016, after shrinking 2.3 per cent last year.

The unemployment rate is expected to remain this year at the same level as in 2014 or 16 per cent before dropping to 15 per cent in 2016, the IMF said in its October 205, World Economic Outlook report. The IMF expects growth to accelerate to 1.8 per cent by 2020.
