Under the light of the silvery moon

By Maria Gregoriou

Hellenic bank is organising a night race under the name Running under the Moon, on October 10 at the Athalassa Park in Nicosia.

You can choose to race, run or walk a distance of five or ten kilometres. There will also be corporate/team races or a walk in the park of five kilometres. As exercise should be promoted at a young age, the organisers have also ensured that young people from six to 16-years-old can participate in a 1,000 metre event.

There will be water stations available from the first five kilometre mark and then every 2.5 kilometres.

All those involved will also enjoy music, food and drink, and even some dancing if they still have the energy after their long walk or race.

The event is also for a good cause as part of the proceeds will go towards the Association of Friends of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The entry fee is €15 to enter the ten kilometre race, €200 for the five kilometre corporate/team race, €10 for the five kilometre forest walk and the one kilometre race for children is free.

Register until October 7 on http://www.runningunderthemoon.com/.
