Anastasiades phones Tsipras, Akinci tweets

Both President Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci congratulated Syriza’s Alexis Tsipras on his re-election as Greek prime minister on Sunday night.

Anastasiades called Tsipras on the phone from Chicago and both men reiterated their “strong will for continuation of the excellent cooperation between them for the benefit of both countries and of Hellenism in general”, a statement from the presidential palace said.

Akinci tweeted “Congratulations to @atsipras & @syriza_gr. Stability in #Greece is a must not just for Greek people but also for the solution of #CyProb.”
