The client and revenue-sharing agreement signed less than two weeks ago by the shipyards in Limassol and Famagusta could show the way forward for the Cypriot business community, two associations said on Monday.

“It is a brilliant example of what can be achieved with the cooperation of Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot businesspeople and the extent to which cooperation will grow following the right settlement of the Cyprus problem,” Phidias Pilides, chairman of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), said in a telephone interview today. “It is the CCCI’s official position to support cooperation within the underlying legal context”.
