Number of remains at Trahonas rises to eight  

Remains found near the prison in occupied Trahonas in Nicosia belonged to eight people so far, the Greek Cypriot member of the Committee on Missing Persons (CMP) Nestoras Nestoros said on Friday.

Combat and civilian attire was found in the area while digging continues, he said after a visit to the site with counterpart Murat Soysal, Assistant to the Turkish Cypriot Member, and permanent secretary Florian Von Koenig.

Although he expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the works, he did not rule out the possibility of more findings and called for patience.

Earlier this week four human skeletons were found raising experts hope they had located a mass grave with some 40 to 50 people buried.
